Food Plant Maintenance Management (FPMM)

Our repeat exposure to food processing plants unable to maximize productivity because of maintenance problems motivated us to develop a Food Plant Maintenance Management (FPMM) program to assist them in becoming proactive in preventing problems. Drawing on our experience in refrigeration construction and service, food plant engineering, USDA plant management, and production maintenance, our FPMM successfully ends the reactionary cycle of breakdowns, lost production and emergency expenditures, enabling maximized productivity once again.

How Does FPMM Work?

Computerized Preventive Maintenance

Systematic prevention of breakdowns requires a computerized maintenance system operated by experienced professionals. By combining our years of hands-on maintenance experience with sophisticated computer technology, our FPMM is the most comprehensive resource for preventing breakage, controlling maintenance costs and improving your plant's productivity.

Our Director of Maintenance sets up your computerized maintenance system, analyzes the system's scheduling reports, and monitors its performance with respect to the plant's productivity. He is responsible for the computerized maintenance system's operation. And that means you don't have to take time away from production to learn the computer system - or even be computer literate - to benefit.

Why is Non-Intrusive Predictive Maintenance Considered So "Hot" Today?

Our predictive maintenance program includes non-intrusive inspection techniques to establish trends. Utilizing state-of-the-art heat, vibration and ultrasound analysis trending, we're able to detect problems before they interrupt production. That can mean significant savings in time, production and emergency expenditures. Non-intrusive predictive maintenance is truly the wave of the future.

Case Study: How RCS Reduced One Plant's Maintenance Budget by 30%

In one year and three months, RCS' Food Plant Maintenance Management assisted a 25-year-old food processing plant in reducing its maintenance budget by $400,000: from $1.5 million to $1.1 million. We enabled this 60,000-square-foot plant to increase hours of plant operation by 30%, increase production by 40%, and decrease its maintenance budget by 30%. Projections for the second year include an additional 15% reduction in maintenance costs, from $1.1 million to $900,000.
